ABOUT JODY
BIO
Jody is a 25-year management professional and entrepreneur.
He started working at the ripe age of 14 in a locally owned Radio Shack. There he learned lots of interesting things like AC/DC electricity, circuit building, electronics, trouble-shooting, problem-solving, customer service and professionalism.
Hired at 18, Jody went on to spend 11 years at BellSouth/AT&T working in sales support, engineering, project management, operations, system design, and process improvement.
Jody then spent a short time at Apple Inc where he extended his passion for the Mac and iPhone to new users. There he helped Mac users figure out what they needed and trained them on how to make the most of their new tools.
In 2009 Jody began consulting in various fields related to business management, product development, experience design, process improvement, and content delivery.
In 2011, he and a few others founded a mobile technology startup centered around college sports and media archives where he developed technology strategies, product roadmaps and operational plans. He contiunued to oversee key business functions in IST, product ownership, resource management, and DevOps until operations ceased in 2019.
In parallel Jody has been heavily involved in live event production since the late '90s. Serving on his church production team where he oversees various production disciplines from broadcast, video, graphics, service production, online experiences, video engineering, environmental lighting, and content creation. In addition, he creates original media for clients ranging from motion graphics, interviews, and music videos. Jody has also spearheaded initiatives to support the "teaching staff" to communicate more efficiently and effectively. Jody also serves in many creative and consultative roles.
Today Jody leads the technology and production department of his home church and runs a small systems design consultancy where helps other churches with limited resources improve thier technology and production systems.
As a do-it-yourself-er, Jody is just as comfortable in the boardroom as he is in the trenches or even the workshop. As a son and grandson to "makers" Jody grew up around the idea that if you can imagine it, you can make it, and he is no stranger to using his hands to do just that.
As an amateur wood-worker, jack-of-all-trade tinkerer, Jody strives to see the project completed before ever starting. (strategy then tactics)
